Mis éxitos
Primeramente a Dermot McGrath se le publicaron varios crucigramas en el London Evening News. Su tirada era de aproximadamente 2.5 millones.
También, entre 2011 y 2014, más de 100.000 alumnos en todo el mundo se suscribieron a sus cursos. Debido a eso, pudieron preparar los exámenes de inglés de la universidad de Cambridge. Por lo general, sus alumnos son hispanoparlantes, ya sea de España o Sudamerica, o bien de habla italiano o portugués.
Dermot es el creador del sistema Linguapuncture – Breaking Through the Thought Barrier. Puesto que el programa LPMethod es derivado de Linguapuncture, es también muy valorado. Ambos sistemas presentan un enfoque muy original de la metodología didáctica por lo que se usan mucho. Se encontrarán sobre todo en las aulas, tanto en el sector público como privado. Resumiendo, Linguapuncture y LpMethod están, por tanto, destinados a formar una parte importante en la enseñanza del inglés.
Su metodología abarca no solamente libros, artículos, cursos, videos y tutoriales sino también juegos de mesa y crucigramas. Además, ha escrito diversos tratados sobre la lingüística comparativa.
En conclusión, Dermot presenta por lo tanto un currículum poco común en el ámbito de la enseñanza.
UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE
En primer lugar, en 2013, la sociedad Linguapuncture firmó un convenio de colaboración con la Universidad de Cambridge. Puesto que su propósito fue proporcionar una preparación bona fide en línea para los exámenes oficiales, tuvo una gran acogida. Como consecuencia, nació, de esta manera, una notable y fructífera relación con esta renombrada facultad.
Probablemente, los exámenes ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) de Cambridge University son los más realizados del mundo. Certifican la aptitud en inglés de una persona no nativa, por lo cual muchos alumnos se apuntan a nuestros cursos.

¿Quién es?
Profesor y metodólogo de idiomas modernos.
Para empezar, la trayectoria de Dermot McGrath nació en Presentation Brothers’ College (ahora Coláiste Muire) en Cobh, Irlanda. Su trayectoria profesional, más bien, abarca casi 40 años.
Al principio, se matriculó en la Universidad de Reading al comienzo de los años 1970 donde cursó inglés e Historia. Pero, con todo, tuvo que compaginar sus estudios trabajando en The Wembley News de Londres como periodista en prácticas. Posteriormente, se inscribió también en la Real Academia de Arte Dramático. Sin embargo, abandonó antes de un año ya que el deseo de viajar engendró nuevos desafíos.
A continuación, debido a las ansias de viajar, dejó Londres. Se mudó a París donde permaneció durante seis meses, aprendiendo francés y enseñando inglés. No obstante, el coste prohibitivo de vivir en París llevó a un traslado a España. En Madrid ingresó en el Real Conservatorio de la Música. Estudió guitarra durante dos años a la vez que preparaba el examen EFL de la Royal Society of Arts. Aprobó con distinción este examen (avalado por la Universidad de Cambridge) por lo que se convirtió en profesor de inglés.
En 2005 Dermot McGrath introdujó además la misma versión de Linguapuncture en idioma irlandés en la Universidad de Cork, Irlanda. Como resultado, tuvo una gran aceptación, sobre todo por parte del Ionad na Gaeilge Labhartha (Centro para Irlandés Hablado).
El método también fue presentado exitosamente en la Aula Magna de UCC ante una audiencia entusiasmada, especialmente por su software vanguardista. Finalmente, el mismo director del departamento de irlandés, Pol Ruiseal, alabó después ante los asistentes el novedoso método.
Especialmente relevante, y no menos importante, fue la exitosa presentación de Linguapuncture en Oireacthas na h-Eireann (Feria Nacional de Cultura Irlandesa). El notable evento tuvo lugar en el mismo año 2005 en el hotel Rochestown Park de Cork.
Por suerte, con solo 27 años, fue nombrado Director de Estudios de la academia de idiomas Berlitz / Inlingua de Madrid.

Carlos
is Catalan but lived in Vermont, USA, from an early age. He returned to his native Tarragona in 2009. He has been a teacher for 15 years. He joined the team in 2011.
Paul
comes from Scotland. He’s one of our First-certificate experts with wide experience. There are few better exponents of the rich Scottish accent than Paul on the teaching scene.
Elizabeth
was born and bred in Minnisota, USA. She is our longest-serving teacher and she is also assistant methodologist to Dermot. She specializes in Cambridge exam preparation.
Chris
hails from Richmond, Virginia. Despite his young age, he is a highly-skilled teacher who has achieved excellent results in the classroom. Like Elizabeth he specialises in TOEFL.
Jessica
is a native of Ohio, USA. She specialises both in P.E.T and F.C.E and is passionate about her job. She is also an expert in TOEFL. Currently she assists olga in video class presentation.
Rachel
of English nationality, is an outstanding teacher. She is extremely dedicated and highly popular with all the students. Like Molly, she is an expert P.E.T teacher.
Zach
is always joking. He is a great favourite, especially among the younger pupils. He is a tremendously resourceful teacher. He specializes in TOEFL, and originates from Maryland, USA.
